Way4ward is a organisation set up to improve the attendance and educational attainment of children, young people and adults, to prevent them from entering the criminal justice system, divert them from a life of crime and also to reduce re-offending by supporting those released from prison and their families. Our trauma-informed service addresses conflict, violenceĀ and the destructive coping strategies young people and adults employ to protect themselves from emotional, mental and physical pain. Way4ward provides inspirational workshops to improve mindfulness by improving distress tolerance, deescalating irrational emotions, overcoming barriers to healthy emotions, and coping with resistance and conflict.

Our aim is to improve educational attainment, employment opportunities and entrepreneurial excellence. Way4ward uses drama and sport to unlock potential and release mental, physical and emotional barriers to success. Our interventions:

  • Prevent school exclusions
  • Develops strategies to return excluded young people or school refusers to mainstream education
  • Provides high intervention mentoring solutions for looked after children
  • Assists people released from prison or mental health institutions
  • Supports families with children in residential or foster care, or those with a family member in prison
  • Provides mediation and conflict resolution
  • Emotional regulation
  • Supports families in conflict
  • Provides careers advice for school leavers and adults
  • Provides employability support (CV clinic, interview preparation and workplace expectation training)
